Islamic Society of South Shore (IS3) was established in 2018. A nonprofit religious organization that transformed from a Karate studio "Hamid Academy" near the Westgate mall in Brockton, MA. In 2014 Brother Hamid who owned the karate studio allowed Muslims to use a section of the studio to conduct jamaat prayers. Word spread around about the Musallah and more brothers started attending prayers. The number ballooned steadily to approximately 100 believers attending jummah prayers and  200 attending Eid prayers. At this point a need for a Masjid was realized in the Brockton area since the near by Masjid in Quincy could not accommodate its own congregation due to lack of adequate space.  Alhamdullilah with help and might of Allah SWT and generous donors IS3 has been able to purchase a building located at 500 Forest Ave, Brockton that will serves as a nucleus of the greater Brockton Islamic community.
